The Dancing Darlins

I LOVE LOVE LOVE music! I love anything with a good strong beat mostly - but anything but rap will usually do. Somewhere in our house there is usually some form of music playing. Today I turned up the music on the computer and Zach and Dani loved it - they were dancing all around the living room. The song they were dancing too was none other than "My Humps" by the black eyed peas! - I am soooo thankful they don't understand the words!!! Dani comes and says "dance mommy, dance a Dani"!! She is too cute! Zach strikes his pose - he looks like he is doing the "walk like an egyptian" dance!!

Zach's First Haircut

Well I suppose the deciding factor in giving Zach his first haircut could have been the guy at the car dealership who asked Dani if she was bringing her sister her bottle. He was dressed all in BLUE might I add! Anyway last night before Chris went to work we buzzed his cute little baby curls. He looks so much older now - not so much like my sweet little chubby cheeks. Oh well it was bound to happen eventually. Lucky for me he has a perfectly shaped round little head!

Dani and Zach say Farewell to the Alero!

From Alero to Pathfinder!

After much discussion (probably around a year) we finally traded in our car and bought a 7 passenger Nissan Pathfinder. We loved our car (2002 Olds Alero) but there was absolutely no room for our family in it. On valentines day I went into Whitehorse to do the grocery shopping for the pampered chef party I was having on Thursday. While driving past the Nissan dealership I decided to go and check out the prices of the pathfinder. Well as luck would have it there was one 2005 model still on the lot and the financing rates were right up my alley (only 100 more a month than the car). So I talked with the sales guy and he said he would give us what we owe on the Alero - sight unseen! I made him write it all down of course and then I burned my sorry ass over to Wal Mart so I could call Chris and tell him all about the pathfinder! Chris was pretty keen on the idea - so yesterday we went back into Whitehorse so we could test drive this thing and see how nice it rode yadda yadda yadda! By four o'clock yesterday we were cruising around in our new truck and not even looking back at the car. When we got home last night Chris was bringing Dani into the house and she looked back over his shoulder and says "nice truck dad!" I thought that the DVD player was going to make our trip home in May more pleasant - but now....

Dora is Going to Drive me to DRINK!!!

Danica absolutely LOVES Dora the Explorer. So naturally for her birthday I thought what a great idea to buy her the Dora three pack - I wish somebody would have cuffed me! Up until about a month and a half ago Dani and Zach had no idea what a DVD was - in fact they were quite content with treehouse. NOW... everytime the stinking tv gets put on Dani figures we should have a Dora marathon! While we were home we borrowed my sisters portable dvd player for the car. We took the kids to Lethbridge and to Calgary and lucky us Dani didn't barf. Maybe her looking at the screen makes it so she doesn't get carsick. Well lets keep our fingers crossed cause we just bought the kids a DVD player for the car - and another Dora DVD! I desperately need a kick in the head! We bought a few other DVD's for them as well. This should definately make the drive home in May a little better - 33 hours without a DVD we had better NOT forget the cords!!! Well I better get back to waxing the floor - the one side is dry now and it is time to get the other one done. Maybe Dora isn't all that bad - Dani is totally occupied with that and not trying "help" me do the floors!
