The Move - In All its Glory!

Well here we are day four in our new house. I finally found the power bar for the computer! The movers came to the house on Wednesday morning at about 9:30. They didn't leave the house till 2 the next morning! We left Teslin at about 2:30am and arrived in Watson Lake at about 5:00 Thursday morning. Needless to say it was a long day! As we were going through our stuff a few things from our wedding came to surface. Things like a "Just Married" sign decorated in glitter and flowers. As the two guys that were going to be moving us and unpacking our things in Watson Lake were jumping into the truck Chris and I were frantically tying the "SIGN" to the back doors of the rig! When we passed them on the highway I was pissing myself laughing - the sign was flapping in the wind! When they showed up here at noon on Thursday they both were laughing - say we pulled a good one on them! It took them from noon till 7:30pm to unload everything from the truck. I didn't bother getting them to unpack everything cause the house is pretty small so we have to figure out what we actually need and what can be put into storage until we move again. The people in Vancouver alotted us 9,000 pounds. They should have given us more weight allowance, we had over 13,000 pounds worth of stuff! As the movers were coming in with stuff they kept looking around like they didn't know where to turn next with each box! There are things I like about people moving us and there are things I don't like about people moving us! The things I like are: I don't have to pack a single thing, I don't have to pack a single box, I do not have to load or unload any kind of a moving truck and it gets done (usually) in one to three days. The thing I don't like about somebody else moving us is: I CAN"T FIND A STINKING THING!!!!! There is no rhyme or reason to any of the boxes. The movers did a great job packing the boxes and wrapping every single thing they touched in packing paper. I might have enough paper to start my own school! Anyway nothing was broken and everything went smooth and quick! Now here we sit day four still trying to make some sense of the mess of boxes spread all over the house! The kids are adapting well to the move and are loving all the papers and boxes all over the house. I need to get some stuff unpacked and put away - Bobbi-Jo and Steve will be here in four days and they need a room to sleep in! I will post some pictures when I get a chance to find the camera! Night all.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy fathers day dad! Or as Dani put it "Happy Grandpa Day Grandpa!" And happy Fathers day to my sweet wonderful husband as well! Tonight was our going away party. It was good we had about 12 or so people here. Last house party in Teslin for us! Tomorrow I am heading to town for the "BIG" shopping trip. To get enough cheap groceries, if thats what you can call it, to last us for a couple of weeks. BJ and Steve are coming up on the 30th so I will be able to get fresh stuff when I pick them up at the airport. I went down to Watson Lake on Wednesday to get a good look at the house and to give it a good cleaning. It was painted in or around November so it still looks pretty good and the carpet in the bedrooms was just put in as well. I already have the layout for my furniture planned. Its not nearly as big or as open as the house we are in right now but it will do - its NOT the moldy house at least! The mosquitoes are something else! They are big enough to carry the kids away! So everyone in town (just about) knows that we are having another baby. We are both pretty excited. My #1 craving this week was ginger snap cookies. So I set to work making a double batch of them. I ate about 8 of them and haven't touched them since. Its a good thing that the kids like them! Zach woke up this morning with full on chicken pox! Poor little guy is looking like a bad traffic accident - you just can't turn away! His head is one big blister! So my trip to town tomorrow should be interesting to say the least! Gonna have to cover him up like a monk so that I can get all my shopping done without any strange looks or ignorant comments. Lets all hope that tomorrow is quick and painless! The movers will be here on Wednesday morning at 9. The kids are going next door at 10:30 until we have everything done here. Hopefully we can get all the cleaning done while the movers are loading the truck and get down to Watson Lake at a reasonable time. Well its off to bed for me, I think I will have a long day tomorrow! Night all.

Tonight I must ramble!

Its 1:30 am and I am looking out my front window and it is still twilight out. It doesn't get completely dark - not like at home. I am still up because of course I can't sleep. Tomorrow I am going to go to Watson Lake to "inspect" the house we are moving into and to give it a real good cleaning before the movers move us in next week. I phoned the furniture store that I had ordered our table and chairs from. The dishwasher is in but the table probably won't be there till FALL!!! I am seriously pissed but I guess those are the breaks when you live in the boonies! I guess for now we will be putting the other kitchen table in our dining area and nothing in the kitchen itself. Our friends are having a going away party for us on Sunday. On the 28th there is a going away/welcome/ and congrats on a pregnancy (for another couple down there - nobody knows about us yet) party. Chris and I took the kids for a bike ride today - my new bike is so awesome! Its so nice to ride a bike that doesn't click, clunk or whirr! It has been 30 degrees here for the past 4 days. I am definately not complaining. We have been sitting out on the deck in the pool with the kids. The only problem is the skeeters and the wasps. They are both really bad this year. Minus the fact that everybody thinks the skeeter is our territorial bird. I had a craving for ginger snap cookies today in the worst way! It was so bad I even doubled the recipe, even though a single recipe makes 4 dozen! I ate about 4 and now I don't have the urge to eat them anymore! I think I am getting bloated. I don't think I could possibly be starting to get a preggy pooch yet. I did start showing earlier with Zach than I did with Dani. I have just noticed that my jeans are just a little more snug than usual. Hmmmm the ramblings of a hyper, hormonal, up way to late for her own good woman! I think I would like to call the people down the street to let them know that their dog is outside barking again because I am sure that they have gone to bed and must have forgot to let it in AGAIN! Why is it that people tune out their dog. I'm sure every single person in the neighbourhood is laying awake in bed thinking of creative ways to "fix" the little yappy problem but the people in the house can't seem to hear it! WTF! People let your dogs in the house or get a cat! Ok, I am done venting, now I must go to bed and try to sleep. Big day of cleaning tomorrow.

Home Again Home Again!

Its been a long while since I posted last! We just got back from our vacation about 2 days ago and have been trying to regroup! Our trip south was awesome. My sister got married on the 27th and Chris's sister graduated on the 1st. At my sister's reception Dani fell about 3ft off of the deck behind my parents trailer (reception was at the lake). She wasn't using her arm right so we ended up missing the reception and took her into Fernie to the hospital for x-rays. Long story short she got a cast for about 4 days (until someone could read the x-rays) went back in for comparison x-rays on both arms and turns out neither is broken THANKFULLY! But as our luck would have it on the 2nd Dani started getting all the spots for chicken pox! My nephew got them while we were home and shared them with Dani - I hope she shared them with her brother - that way they both get them and I don't have to be bothered with it anymore. I suppose time will tell if Zach gets them or not - I'm sure he will. We are getting ready to move on the 21st. I'm looking forward to a new place and a new town. My sister (BJ) and her husband are coming to visit us on the 30th till the 9th. Our first visitors in Watson! I bought a new bike yesterday so now I have something fancy to tow the kiddies around with! NO more CLUNCKER!

So now that I have all the boring stuff said and out of the way I can tell my exciting stuff! We are having another BABY!!!!!! By my calculations (after being through this twice I'm pretty sure they are accurate) I'm about 4 1/2 weeks along! My due date should be around February 14th. I go see my doc in mid July for my first prenatal. Hopefully this one will be just like the last two. I had no morning sickness - maybe a little nausea if I didn't eat for a while - but no barfing! Plus I felt really good all the way through although I will admit by week 38 I was really wanting to meet the baby! So much that I even took castor oil with both to induce labor - it didn't work with Zach - he is stubborn! I went dogsledding with our friends three days before my due date with Zach - even that didn't work - the little fart was three days late! This time I am NOT taking castor oil - it tastes like shit! I am sure at 39 weeks I will be contemplating it! Anyway off to bed. Night all.
