My sad, pathetic attempt at jogging.

Day before yesterday I got up, got dressed and feeling pretty good decided to take the kids out in the buggy and try going for a jog. So after an hour of trying to get the monsters dressed, getting bottles made, looking for a bra that would hopefully hold things in, and finding some comfy clothes that would drape over the jiggly parts I was on my way. I left our house and headed down the hill. As I'm about three quarters of the way down the hill I am thinking to myself - hey this isn't so bad, I might actually not do too bad with this. About halfway to the end of our road (our road is just about 2 km long) I get a good cramp in my side but decide to run through it. I walked for a little bit and then ran some and then walked and then I dawdled and then I ran. I ran past the good looking guys that were working on the power poles (they were just sitting around) the whole while I'm thinking "I wonder if they can see my butt fat jiggling" probably laughed their asses off after I got past them. Make matters worse I had to run back past them on my way home - and I say "had to" cause there is no way in hell I was going to let them think that I am a slacker or anything like that. So I get onto the road heading back to our house and I am doing my walk, run, dawdle routine when the power company guys go driving past. So I pretend that I am actually trying to run, they get around the corner and I walk! Then I come around the corner and they can't find the house they are looking for so they stop me and ask if I know where so-and-so lives. I hurt SOOOOO bad from trying to run up the hill just so they wouldn't laugh at me! Why do we do things like that - looking back now I think I am such a dork!!! Thursday night rolls around and I go to my sewing class. One of the ladies there says "Hey I saw you running yesterday. Are you an early riser?" ME: Hell NO, your lucky if I am dragging my ass out of bed at 10:30 (the kids sleep late) HER: You should come with me and this other lady tomorrow morning. So me and my sad pathetic attempt at having a bathing suit ass in 61 days crawled ass out of bed at 6:50 this morning to go running - IN THE SNOW!!! It had snowed about an inch and a half last night! I am pretty impressed with myself - I kept up for the most part - minus the fact I didn't have fifty pounds of resistance to push either! I may or may not go out tomorrow morning - we'll see how sore I am in the morning! On the other hand I got Dani's halloween costume finished and it is so cute! She loves wearing the clown hair all over the house - she thinks its a fun hat!

My First Show!

To all of you out there that read this and are dying to know how my first partylite show went - it was AWESOME!!!! I had about 10 people that bought stuff and thanks to them I have nearly qualified for a freebie that I want for my kit. So any of you that are living in Canada (hint, hint my favorite aunties!!!) and want some awesome candles for christmas or as christmas gifts - give me a call! Hubbs mom and dad are coming up a week from today - we are both really looking forward to seeing them. I think they are chomping at the bit to see the kidlets. What is everybody's kids going out for halloween as? I am sending Dani as a clown and Zach as a cow. We were going to make Dani his farmer but well... there isn't any straw hats for her! I think next week I will make my way to town YET AGAIN and pick out a nice big pumpkin from the superstore pumpkin patch.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Last night we had a VERY tasty dinner with a bunch of our friends. We had the most impressive spread of eats imaginable. There was turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, beet salad, spinach salad, cranberry sauce, apple dip, apple pie, pumpkin pie, rolls, roasted potato and sweet potato with garlic, ham with pinapple sauce and carrot cake. I am still stuffed right to the gills! Now I must roll my ass back upstairs and take care of the screaming boy child!
She loves helping out in the yard!
Dani enjoys a nice fresh cob of Taber corn!
Zach enjoys his leaf!
I love the "Lion" look!
Somebody forgot to consult their spell checker before making this sign!

Pictures from Fall Fair.

The infamous JARS - the sign on the side of the shelf says "This food has been prepared in a kitchen not routinely inspected by a regulatory authority" this is highly recommended to be posted by the canadian food inspection agency - my friends thought I had put it there as a joke!

Fall Fair Results!

Now that I have recuperated enough from lack of sleep I can finally get down here and tell you all about the fall fair! Well as you all know this all started on Thursday when I made the pie crusts, nanaimo bars, and butter tart bars. I also fried my hand mixer - which I am still choked about! Thankfully my mom and dad bought us one of those big fancy kitchen aid stand mixers last year for christmas - by the way its a dream for making meringue! Maybe I won't miss my hand mixer to much! I also forgot to mention Dani woke up barfing Thursday morning - not pretty when the only thing in the kids stomach is bile and slobber! So anyway I went to bed around 1 am Friday morning, I got up around 8:30 and started to work right away on getting the pies made for Saturday. Both of the kids were clingy and didn't want to be put down at all! I didn't go to bed at all Friday night. I finally went and layed down for an hour at 6:30. I managed to get all 24 pies done - 6 lemon meringue, 8 pumpkin and 10 apple. I also made 2 dozen cinnamon buns and 6 loaves of bread. We were able to go down and stat setting up at 10am. The sale started at noon and there were only 7 vendors - 4 of them were baked goods!!! I couldn't beleive it! Not that I am a pro or anything but the one next to me didn't even look like they cooked their pie! They didn't even have the pies of cakes they brought wrapped! (it was a group thing) The other bake tables were at the other end so I didn't get to see a lot of their stuff. Anyway, I sold 18 of my jars (which is good for here) 23 pies, 1 pan of cinnamon bars, 1 pan of nanaimo bars, 1 pan of butter tart bars and 3 loaves of bread. I felt pretty damn good about it! I was a little concerned that I wouldn't sell any of my pie cause it was the highest priced ones there. I don't use canned fruit (except for the pumpkin - but its not the pumpkin pie filling it is just pumpkin) and the lemon meringue is not from a box. So anyway the ones on the other side of the room were selling theirs for 6, the ones beside me for 8 and mine were at 10. So now all I have to do is get the rest of my jars made for sprucebog and I will be set. I only have another 15 dozen jars to fill! I should be done by next year!!
